Carlo Meloni was graduated in Electronics Engineering from the Sapienza
University of Rome in 1997. He received a Ph.D. in Operations Research
from the same university in 2000. In November 2000 he joined Roma Tre University
(Rome) as post-doctoral fellow in Operations Research.
In July 2002 he became Assistant Professor of Systems Engineering at the
Politecnico di Bari (DEI - Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica e dell'Informazione).
In 2013 he received the academic professorship habilitation in Operations Research
by MIUR (Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research).
He took part in research projects promoted by public institutions, academic
organizations and companies. His main research and professional interests
concern applications of optimization and other OR/MS methodologies. His
works have been presented in several international conferences and published
on different international journals and books.
Carlo Meloni is member of Italian Society of Operations Research (AIRO),
and INFORMS international society, and took part in different EURO's working
groups. He is included as expert in the Register of the Reviewers of the
Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research for the evaluation
of research programs, and has been invited as reviewer and evaluator of
international scientific and editorial projects.
Carlo Meloni is a registered professional engineer in Italy and he has
served as a consultant to different companies and organizations.
